Roof Cleaning
Why is roof cleaning important? Roof cleaning is an essential part of maintaining and keeping your home in good condition. Making sure your roof is annually cleaned by a professional will greatly improve your house's curb appeal and help prevent against costly damage such as roof leaks. A clean, well-cared for roof will last for years to come.
Issues that can come from a non maintained roof are:
Algae/Mold/Moss outbreak which can break down the tiles or paint on metal roofs and also high build up can add undue weight and crack tiles leading to leaks
Blocked gutters, which can rot them out and also block the drains causing expensive repairs
Breakdown of the rubber grommets on metal roofs

Maintenance
What about maintenance. Isn’t cleaning enough? Yes, No, Maybe…
Re-screwing. The screws that hold your roof to the trusses (metal roofs) are made to last, however the rubber grommets between the screw and the roof…. not so much. This little bit of rubber deteriorates over time and can cause big dramas such as leaking roofs or creating rust within the roof sheets themselves. Dont worry though, this only has to occur every 10 years or maybe less if the climate is extreme
Re-painting. Like everything, paint is commonly overlooked. The paint is what keeps the roof from rusting if metal and deteriorating if tile. Think of it like sunscreen for the roof. Again, this is about every 10 years or maybe less if the climate is extreme or if the previous paint job was done poorly (which is unfortunately far too common)
Gutter cleaning. Sounds easy doesn’t it, dont be fooled. Gutters need a good thorough clean as well as just grabbing some leaves out. This is something that should be undertake annually with your roof cleaning. Unless you want to grow a herb garden up there. We can also do gutter guard installation.
Solar Panels. Don’t forget your solar panels. Now you cant just go blasting them with water. They need a bit more of a tender touch. These need to be cleaned separate to the roof. This should be part of your annual roof clean
